The successful GAIETY ON TOUR programme continues for Autumn 2024 with The Figiro Quartet in association with Ayr Gaiety Theatre – THE JAZZAMATAZZ VARIETY SHOW. Appearing at a village hall or community centre near you, at OCHILTREE, FAIRLIE, MONKTON, BALLANTRAE, and MAYBOLE during October 2024.

Jazzamatazz is a salute to the historical links of Jazz and Vaudeville. Sit back and enjoy as the Swell Belles’ silky smooth 3-part harmonies and Figiro Jazz Quartet bring you back in time with the finest swinging melodies from the great jazz songbook. Together with the fleetest of swift-stepping dancers, and music-hall comedy skits and sketches, all in a riotous revue taking us back to the very roots of vaudeville and jazz. The show repertoire covers Jazz from the 1890’s to modern hits with a Jazz / Swing twist, with silky smooth harmonies reminiscent of the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1940’s.

The Gaiety on Tour is supported by Creative Scotland, and ARIA Ayrshire Rural Islands & Ambition Fund.

The image shows a woman standing backstage area of a theater. She is leaning casually on a wooden structure, smiling and looking to the side. Surrounding her are ropes, pulleys, and wooden beams, indicating the area may be used for stage rigging or set movement. The walls are brick, somewhat worn, and industrial in appearance, illuminated by a bright overhead light. The setting gives the impression of a behind-the-scenes look at a theater's technical area.
