DIXIELAND JAZZ WITH THE RHYTHM KINGS

The successful GAIETY ON TOUR programme continues with a series of performances from The Rhythm Kinds, appearing at a village hall or community centre near you, at BARRHILL, STRAITON, DUNDONALD CASTLE, and at THE STUDIO at The Gaiety during September and October 2024.

Formed from the cream of Scottish Dixieland jazz musicians, The Rhythm Kings have toured the British Isles and beyond, becoming popular favourites wherever they have performed. Having worked with Kenny Ball and Acker Bilk, the band was the support act for two nights at the S.E.C.C. for Rod Stewart. The show features all the great tunes from the trad and New Orleans era. Among them, When The Saint’s Go Marching In, Ice Cream and a rousing version of Chris Barber’s Bourbon Street Parade. So sit back and enjoy, or get up and have a dance, The Rhythm Kings are here to let the good times roll!

The Gaiety on Tour is supported by Creative Scotland, and ARIA Ayrshire Rural Islands & Ambition Fund.
