Tamfest returns to Rozelle House Museum and Galleries this Halloween with a haunting experience like no other. Step into the eerie world of Madame McMaster and her Collection of Curiosities, in a gothic adventure that blends chills with Scottish folklore. Set in the atmospheric backdrop of the Georgian mansion, nestled within the picturesque Rozelle Park. Art and artefacts from the South Ayrshire Collection will enhance the immersive experience weaving local heritage into the fabric of the event. 

Gallery One has been turned into a Spooky Crafy Lair and will be open for crafts and activities, such as Pumpkin lino printing or making your own curious creatures – for those who like things to be spooky, but not scary. Don’t miss out on the Spooky Halloween activities taking place in Ayr town centre. 

Free drop-in event suitable for all ages.

Rozelle Pond Walk

Visitors of all ages can enjoy a free, self-led walk around the Rozelle duck pond, where they will encounter the deadly creatures of Madame McMaster’s Collection. These sculptures offer a fun, family-friendly opportunity to meet the creatures of Scottish folklore; and are the perfect way to get your Halloween fix while enjoying the fresh Autumn air! 

Fathoms of Fear Theatrical Performances at Rozelle House

For those bold enough to dive deeper, book into a special performance Fathoms of Fear Theatrical Performances – a 30-minute theatrical tour—offers a chilling glimpse into Madame McMaster’s world. This immersive play combines Victorian melodrama, camp humour, and spine-chilling horror. Ages 12+ only. Spaces are limited – booking is essential.

The exhibition will be open to explore free of charge during normal operating times (please note this excludes times when performances are on).
