Mark Twain in Person

Mark Twain in Person

MAD Productions presents Mark Twain In Person – a solo performance featuring Ken O’Hara as Mark Twain.

Devised by Ken O’Hara, this play brings the legendary writer and philosopher to life on stage. Through a dramatic recitation of Twain’s writings, O’Hara explores the wit and wisdom of one of America’s greatest humorists. Twain muses on religion, odd-looking dogs, life on the Mississippi steamboats, and much more.

Please note: The performance includes the use of racist epithets, presented in the historical context of Mark Twain’s original texts.

Join Mr. Twain for an evening of sharp wit, thoughtful reflection, and, of course, the iconic white suit. Directed by Isi Nimmo.

Ken’s MAD Productions has staged many successful rural touring dramas in recent years, supported by The Gaiety. Past productions include The Price of a Fish Supper by Catherine Czerkawska, his solo rendition of A Christmas Carol by Greg Oliver Bodine, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune by Terence McNally, and Alan Bennett’s A Chip in the Sugar.
