Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Experience the magic of the 1920s with a screening of the silent film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, brought to life with live organ accompaniment by Aaron Hawthorne.

Step into the shadowed world of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1920)
Brilliant yet repressed scientist Dr. Henry Jekyll (John Barrymore) is devoted to his experiments — until temptation and curiosity lead him down a dark path. After witnessing the alluring Miss Gina (Nita Naldi) perform, Jekyll becomes obsessed with separating the pure and sinful sides of human nature. His daring experiment succeeds — but unleashes his monstrous alter ego, Mr. Hyde.

As Jekyll’s control slips away and Hyde’s cruelty grows, danger and madness spiral toward a chilling climax.

Starring John Barrymore, Martha Mansfield, and Brandon Hurst.
Directed by John S. Robertson.

Tickets are £9 and can be paid at the door or online.
