TOWED CARS: It’s extremely important that you do not park in any restricted area. Vehicles left in restricted areas may be towed, and the owner will be required to pay a £200 fine to retrieve it.
You can find out how to retrieve your vehicle here (www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/car-towed)
South Ayrshire Council has announced a range of parking options and important information for drivers ahead of the International Airshow – Festival of Flight.
The 2025 airshow is fast approaching, so now is the time to plan ahead and book your parking space for the biggest event in South Ayrshire this year!
All car parks have free toilets available and lighting towers to make it easy to navigate your way back to your car when the event is over.
You can take advantage of the early bird prices and pre-book your parking until midnight prior to each event date.
Reminder: You can still book parking online after the early bird deadline; however, early bird pricing will no longer apply.
If spaces are still available, an £8 surcharge applies to all parking booked on the day of the event, payable online in addition to the standard parking fee. To avoid delays on arrival, please book same-day parking online before heading to the event.
This applies to all car parks and both event days.
Parking will be available at four designated locations:
All car parks have toilets available on site.
For motorbike and motorhome parking, please visit our FAQs for further information.
All parking locations have walking routes to the festival site. However, to help you get to the festival with ease, Stagecoach will operate a park and ride shuttle service from Ayr Racecourse and Rozelle Estate.
The shuttle service will operate every 3-4 minutes between the following dates and times:
Entry via Craigie Rd, Ayr KA8 0JE

* This is our early bird pricing, an £8 surcharge applies to all parking booked on the day of the event
You do not need to pre-book these spaces, but they are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. More information about accessibility at the airshow is available on our Ayr Show Accessiblity page.
Blackburn car park opens at 3.45pm on Friday 5th September and at 10.15am on Saturday 6th September.
To make car park access as smooth as possible, entry will be streamlined using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras. Your vehicle’s registration will be automatically scanned upon arrival, so you’ll need to provide the number plate of the vehicle you intend to bring on the day when pre-booking your parking.
Tracsis will have carefully planned exit strategies in place for each car park to help you leave as efficiently as possible. However, as with any large-scale event, some delays are to be expected. Please allow extra time in your journey plans, both when arriving and departing the festival.
Please be aware that the parking area may consist of uneven ground conditions, and vehicles are parked at your own risk. We recommend using caution when entering and exiting the area, particularly in wet/adverse weather.

Some residential areas will be covered by a Temporary Traffic Restriction Order (TTRO). This means that only residents with a valid parking permit will be permitted to park in these areas. Some of the streets will be closed to traffic. However, we will have checkpoints in place to ensure that residents can gain access to their homes and will provide letters with further information to all residents who are affected by the TTRO.
Information about parking and traffic restrictions on the weekend of the airshow is available on Ayr Show Parking FAQs.
In booking a ticket, you are reserving a car park space. Reservations and tickets bought for this event are final. Once a purchase is made, bookings cannot be cancelled, refunded, or exchanged under any circumstances.
In the unlikely event of a change in date, time, or venue, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled event. We will notify you of any changes as soon as possible.
When booking, you will be asked to provide your vehicle registration number. This is because the car parks operate automatic vehicle number plate recognition, which improves the flow of traffic into the car parks. Bookings are non-transferable. You will receive a confirmation email when your booking is complete.
