The Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup in 2025 was truly spectacular — and now all eyes turn to 2026, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The premier event of the Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup Festival and the highlight of the entire Scottish Flat racing season, this is a day that delivers top-quality race after top-quality race. Taking centre stage is one of the finest sprint handicaps in Europe, the Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup itself. The 2025 running proved unforgettable, with jockey George Wood enjoying a remarkable double, winning the Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup on Run Boy Run and the Ladbrokes Ayr Silver Cup on Candy, both trained by Richard Spencer and owned by Phil Cunningham.
It’s not just about the Gold Cup, however, with a fantastic supporting card adding further quality to the day. Scotland’s only Group race, the Group 3 Ladbrokes Firth of Clyde Fillies’ Stakes, is always a thrilling contest, alongside the Listed Ladbrokes Doonside Cup.
The Ladbrokes Ayr Silver Cup is another major highlight, and with an electric atmosphere in the stands, few race days can rival Ayr Gold Cup Saturday for excitement and spectacle.
Before, during and after the racing, enjoy superb entertainment throughout the day. With tickets selling fast, be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
