How Long Have You Been Singing In The Dark? A Song-Making Workshop

How Long Have You Been Singing In The Dark? A Song-Making Workshop

Join singer Debbie Armour (Burd Ellen) to sing together and share our musical memories. During this short workshop, we will explore the musical moments that resonate with us through time and build something new from the reverberations.

Anne Robinson is a contemporary visual artist from Ayrshire, now based in London.

Debbie Armour is a singer and artist, working primarily with traditional song and materials. Broadly, her work is motivated by persistence, resonance and deep cultural roots. She is an experienced song leader and uses archive material to explore ideas of community and shared heritage.

The workshop is part of Coming Soon…The Charmers! an art project in diverse forms: films, drawings, sound, broadside ballads, workshops and conversations and The Charmers band formed by seven time-travelling-players – fugitives from the 17th century Ayrshire ‘witch’ trials. Find out more at: gracenotesproject.org and follow Anne @anrobs.

Make sure to check out the gig on Friday 13th June and print making workshop on Tuesday 17th June, check out for more info here.
