Coming Soon.. The Charmers GIG

The Charmers are a (possibly fictional) band, formed by seven runaway accused ’witches’ from Ayrshire. These time-travelling players were discovered on a 17th-century scroll by an artist researching the Scottish witch trials, and they are out on tour. Don’t miss them!

The band consists of Debbie Armour, Tansy Spinks, Deb Smith, Lisa Lux, and Anne Robinson. Performances include new films from The Charmers. Look out for the new four-track EP ‘Not to be Found’, available via Bandcamp and featuring Jo Gate-Eastley and Maggie Nicols.

Coming Soon.. The Charmers! is an art project in diverse forms: films, drawings, sound, broadside ballads, workshops, and conversations.

Join us for a special night as the music comes to life! After last December’s exhibition at MAKE by Narture, we’re bringing the sound to Ayr – the band is finally performing live at the Cutty Sark! Come celebrate this long-time project hitting the stage.

‘The Charmers’ are supported by a National Lottery Project Grant from Arts Council England.

Two circular images labeled "A" and "B" show abstract, grainy white shapes on dark backgrounds. Image A resembles a roughly outlined human figure with an outstretched arm, while Image B shows a clearer silhouette of a rabbit. Both circles are framed with calibration markers and colored guide lines, suggesting they may be scans or microscope images.

Ayr
Three people wearing black hoodies with a circular logo on the back, labeled 'The Charmers,' are superimposed onto a vintage nautical map background. One person is performing a handstand on the left, another stands in the center facing the map while holding a musical instrument, and a third stands on the right playing an electric guitar. All are on a wooden dock or platform that appears to float over the map. The title 'The Charmers' is displayed in gold text at the bottom right corner, near a compass rose illustration.
