Author Talk and Workshop with Amanda Edmiston

Author Talk and Workshop with Amanda Edmiston

Author and herbal storyteller Amanda Edmiston (Botanica Fabula) invites you on a sensory journey through plant-based potions gathered from a wild garden, uncovering the fascinating gardens and gardeners of Scottish history.

Amanda is a professional storyteller and writer with a background in herbal medicine. Her first book, The Time Traveller’s Herbal, was praised by Willow Winsham—author and founder of Folklore Thursday—as:

A journey to the past and back that leaves the reader blinking into the sunlight as they finally emerge from the evocative world that has been woven within those pages, wanting to return there again as swiftly as possible.”

Her upcoming book, Collected Curiosities, continues the time traveller’s herbal journey, delving into the more recent past. It will be released in March next year.

Amanda creates immersive herbal storytelling experiences around the world, blending tales with insights from her own herbal practice, science, and research, offering audiences a rich starting point for their journey of discovery.

Free event, suitable for adults. Booking is essential and can be made online, in person at Carnegie Library, or by calling 01292 286 385.
