If you’re looking to park your campervan next to one of our scenic beaches during your stay in South Ayrshire, there’s good news! After the successful launch of two campervan parking sites, the scheme has been extended to include more locations and longer stays.
The two original sites in Ayr and Girvan have been made permanent and a number of new sites will open for the summer season and run temporarily until the end of September.
Campers can stay for three consecutive nights, for a fee of £10 per night to be paid via the cashless parking system. This fee includes access to waste disposal facilities. Those staying at the Girvan site will also have access to toilet and washroom facilities.

The bays are for the sole use of motorhome/campervan-style vehicles. These are defined by the DVLA as “motor caravans” with the meaning “a special purpose M category vehicle constructed to include living accommodation which contains at least; seats and a table, sleeping accommodation which may be converted from the seats, cooking facilities, storage facilities”.
Caravans are not permitted in the bays.
We are not able to physically reserve spaces, which means that you cannot book a space in advance. Therefore, please don’t pay until you have arrived and secured an available space.

Payments must be made if staying beyond or arriving after 6pm each night (for a maximum of 3 nights*)
* once your parking session has expired, and unless extending your stay, we ask that you vacate the space by 1pm to allow others to pitch up.
