The Royal Scottish National Orchestra Plays Prokofiev is coming to Ayr Town Hall! In our special lunchtime concert, join presenter Gillian Moore as she introduces young and old alike to the wonders of classical music.

In a quiet country town, Zoltan Kodály listened to the flying fiddles of Hungary’s greatest folk band. From his cottage on Orkney, Peter Maxwell Davies composed a haunting lament for an uncertain future. And in revolutionary Petrograd, the young Prokofiev turned musical history upside down, in one of the fastest (and funniest) symphonies ever written. Presenter Gillian Moore introduces a globetrotting lunchtime concert from conductor Adam Hickox and the RSNO: join us and see the world!
