Ayr Academy proudly presents ‘Sunshine on Leith’, a vibrant and heartfelt musical featuring the iconic songs of The Proclaimers. The play follows soldiers Davy and Ally as they return home to Leith and navigate love, family, and the challenges of rebuilding their lives after service in Afghanistan. Blending humour, emotion, and Scottish soul, the show explores relationships old and new—alongside the upheaval faced by Davy’s parents, Rab and Jean, when a long‑buried secret resurfaces.
After the huge success of Grease last year, this year’s production is bigger and better than ever. Join us on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th June 2026 at Ayr Academy. Tickets are £7, available to purchase in school for cash or directly via Ticketsource.
