Ayr has a wonderful, clean, sandy beach, which has been enjoyed for generations. You can enjoy a picnic, build sandcastles, splash in the water, collect shells or play games. It provides great, traditional seaside fun for all the family.

The esplanade runs from the harbour south to the River Doon, and has plenty of facilities for you to enjoy. There’s a fantastic play park, and great fun for all the family at Pirate Pete’s Family Entertainment Centre.

The Low Green, which has a long history as a place for recreation, is still a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike for flying a kite, enjoying an ice cream, sunbathing, or just watching the world go by.
