Maybole

About Maybole

Maybole has its roots in the Middle Ages, and it shows in the fine buildings you can spot along the High Street; from the Town Hall to Maybole Castle. This impressive building dates back to 1560, and was the meeting point for local lords and landowners.

You’ll spot other interesting buildings around Maybole, the 19th century Parish Church is set in striking orange stone and has an unusual architechtural style, but most impressive of all is Culzean Castle, just a short drive from Maybole.

If golf is more your style, there’s a picturesque 9-hole golf course that’s open to visitors, and for sight-seeing, Maybole is well placed for lots of South Ayrshire’s best attractions.

Finished thinking. A group of actors performs an outdoor theatrical scene inspired by Alice in Wonderland. In the center, a woman dressed as Alice wears a blue and white checkered dress and apron, looking surprised. To her left, a performer in a large green bonnet and bright yellow and green costume holds a stuffed pig. On the right, a man dressed as the White Rabbit wears fluffy white pants, a red heart-patterned vest, and rabbit ears, striking a dramatic pose. The background includes a colorful painted backdrop of greenery, pink flamingos, and a whimsical tree, enhancing the fantastical atmosphere.
