Two larger-than-life men from northern Italy share a simple mission: to find one last drink before the night comes to an end. Along the way, they meet Giulio, a shy architecture student from Naples whose outlook on love, friendship and life is gradually transformed as the trio travel from bar to bar across the Veneto region.
Blending gentle humour, moments of criminal mischief and heartfelt drama, Last One for the Road is a charming road movie about unexpected encounters and human connection. Unhurried and deeply authentic, Francesco Sossai’s film captures the beauty of ordinary conversations and the ways in which fleeting relationships can leave a lasting impression.
Winner of Best Film and Best Director at the David di Donatello Awards.
