Outdoor activity: Join a guided walk along Girvan beach with artist in residence Claudia Zeiske. Participants of all ages are invited to collect stones and plastic items — our “future fossils” (equipment provided).
Together, we will reflect on what traces of today might remain in the future, with findings brought back for discussion and follow-up workshops at the McKechnie Institute.
By email: [email protected] or by phone 01465 713 643
Free activity but advanced booking essential.
All ages welcome – under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
South Ayrshire Council staff, wearing high-viz, will be available onsite to welcome participating guests, check you in, and provide brief safety talk before activity starts.
This is an outdoor event and may have to be cancelled at short notice due to heavy rain or high winds. The event may also need to be cancelled due to unforeseen staff shortages, to ensure we adhere to health and safety planning. Guests will be contacted in advance on the day, via email or phone, should the activity need to be cancelled.
Beach walk may not be fully accessible – We request participating guests to self-access walk suitability before activity starts.
This project is supported through a programme of work delivered by Feral and funded by Creative Scotland. Supported by South Ayrshire Council. Feral’s outdoor arts residency programme is aimed at Scotland based artists interested in developing outdoor or site-specific performance projects responding to landscape.
