Future Folklore – The Art and Craft of Storytelling

Future Folklore – The Art and Craft of Storytelling

A major exhibition of contemporary art and craft featuring more than 300 works by artists and makers from Ayrshire and from all over Scotland. Future Folklore: The Art and Craft of Storytelling is organised by Visual Arts Scotland, one of the country’s leading artist-run organisations which brings together artists and makers at all stages of their careers.

The show explores what ancient tales mean to us today, and what new stories might emerge in response to contemporary issues such as migration, climate change and digital culture. It includes paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, sound, performance and much more.
