Celebration of Ayrshire Quilters

The Celebration of Ayrshire Quilters exhibition will showcase both historic and contemporary textiles made in Ayrshire, demonstrating the diverse range of our needlework, patchwork and quilting community; as well as displaying items from South Ayrshire Council’s permanent collection.

Free Family Activities

Whilst visiting the exhibition don’t miss a visit to our engagement room for a range of free activities. Take part in puzzle solving, hands on quilting, and make your own quilt square with fabric or felt to be added to our display. Available during museum opening hours.

Sunday 12 noon – 5pm

Kawandi Hand Quilting Workshops

Kawandi is a traditional quilting method originating from the Siddi community in India. Create your own hand-stitched design and learn about the technique with the support of Tricia Denholm, Maybole Patchwork and Quilting Group.

All materials will be provided.

Saturday 21 March | 10.30am – 12.30pm
Saturday 11 April | 2pm – 4pm family focused (age 9+ parental supervision required)
