A Gala Evening of Opera

A Gala Evening of Opera

The Orchestra of Scottish Opera together with guest soloists Catriona Hewitson and Ross Cumming present A Gala Evening of Opera. Prepare to be transported by opera at its boldest and most passionate this February, when Scottish Opera returns to Ayr Town Hall with extracts from the operas of Mozart, Donizetti, Bizet, Mascagni, and Puccini, showcasing the best of 18th and 19th century opera – its heyday of popularity – through a collection of beautiful melodies and captivating drama. The concert soloists, soprano Catriona Hewitson and baritone Ross Cumming, are both former Scottish Opera Emerging Artists. This is an evening of delights not to be missed.
