Belleisle Conservatory

With a history dating back to 1879, Belleisle Conservatory is a beautiful and welcoming heritage centre located beside Belleisle Estate’s Walled Garden.

This magnificent venue exhibits over 50 species of plants from across the world, including tropical plants, alpines and cacti.

The conservatory is also home to a bee observation hive which shows an entire population of bees in its true environment, carrying out all of its daily operations such as food and water gathering, cleaning, thermoregulation, communication and reproduction.

Restored and run by volunteers, the conservatory hosts regular events, including Sunday afternoon concerts and bee-keeping attractions, as well as family celebrations and weddings.

Visitors are welcome and entry is free.

Open daily 11am – 4pm
