We’ve got some top entertainment and activities lined up at the Festival Village at The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September!
This year, there will be plenty of attractions to suit thrill-seekers. These include a climbing tower, laser tag, and—if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to fly an aeroplane—you can find out for yourself by trying the amazing aircraft simulator. Or, make your way to the fabulous lights and attractions of the funfair.
If you’re coming to the airshow with the whole family, there’s a wide range of activities to keep children occupied in our Family Fun Village – with face painters, glitter tattooists, a circus workshop, bubble football, a dinosaur show, a magic show and more.

You’ll be able to enjoy the impressive static, model and classic vehicle displays. From vintage beauties to iconic classics, get ready to be amazed by these four-wheeled legends from automotive history!

At our Food Village you’ll find a wide variety of tasty treats to keep you fuelled up, plus, we’ll have a bar on site.
Why not take on some of your friends and family at laser tag, where you’ll get to hone your skills in a safe environment with our state-of-the art combat laser equipment. Or make your way to the fabulous lights and attractions of the funfair.
The popular RAF, Army and Navy village will return to the event, with lots of great activities and personnel on hand to answer any burning questions you have about the work of the forces.
If you’re looking for an adrenalin high – we’ve got it covered. Jump onboard our amazing Rafale aircraft simulator thrill ride, or reach dizzy heights on our 25 foot abseiling wall.
We’re pleased to welcome back our event charity partner to the festival site – the RAF Benevolent Fund. Representatives from the Fund will be happy to welcome festival goers to their marquee to chat about the invaluable support they provide to serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families.
Our airshow strategic partner, theSKYLAB, will return to the Festival Village with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) marquee. With hands-on activities and representatives from companies from the Prestwick aerospace hub and across Scotland, you’ll be able to get a taster of all the impressive and interesting things that are going on in the world of STEM.
