Blank Canvas: Finni Chambers Sensing Around – Opening Exhibition
Throughout September, Finni will use multisensory experimentation as a shared creative language, collaborating with local participants to explore the neighbourhood through sight, sound, touch, smell and taste. This exhibition brings together the stories, creations and interactive elements developed during these workshops, showcasing a collective sensory map of Ayr and exploring themes of place, wellbeing and belonging.
Come along to celebrate, explore the work and experience the installation.
About Finni
Finni Porter Chambers (she/her) integrates community, wellbeing and design throughout her practice.
Through playful, co-designed processes, Finni investigates how sensory experiences can connect people to places in non-verbal ways. As the founder of Josafinni Studio, she focuses on spatial design that supports mental health, disability and neurodivergence, particularly for children and young people.
Currently, Finni is collaborating with VEA Dundee on a co-design project for adults with learning disabilities. Recent projects include co-designing interiors for SAMH’s The Nook and working with organisations such as Sustrans and Renfrewshire Council.
In addition, Finni advises on accessibility for Architecture Fringe and has been awarded a residency with the Royal Designers for Industry. She has also been nominated for the Scottish Design Awards 2026.
