Ayr Roads Cycling Club

Ayr Roads Cycling Club is one of the most active cycling clubs in the West of Scotland. Established in 1930, members enjoy all aspects of cycle sport, from road racing, time trialling and cyclocross to MTB. 

Cyclists of all ages and abilities are warmly welcome for training, racing or social rides.

Weekly Club Rides

Sundays:  Social ride, 7.30am meet at Burns Cottage Car Park – ride of 25 miles via Maybole and Coast Road. Also Sunday Club Ride, 9.30am meet at Beresford Terrace, Ayr – social pace Club Run, 2 to 3 hours with plenty of alternative shorter routes available. Any new or interested cyclists are welcome.

Tuesdays: (April – September) Meet at Monkton Cross, 6.45pm. Social/training ride, circa 30 miles/2 hours.

Thursdays: (April – September) 6.45pm Maybole, 10K Time Trial (members only, for insurance purposes). Helmet, front and rear lights required. Road bikes can be used. Prospective members can attend and ride as long as they have British Cycling Membership suitable for competition.

Saturdays: Faster paced group ride, circa 50 miles/3 hours.
