The wildly popular Red Arrows will head up the show, taking to the skies on both days of the festival to perform their impressive aerobatic displays.
The Typhoon FGR Mk4 is a favourite in Ayr, having performed at our airshow each year since 2023, much to the delight of the crowds. This highly capable combat aircraft puts on a show that’s exciting for both the eyes and ears – roaring through the sky as it performs high-speed agile manoeuvres.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) maintains historical aircraft in airworthy condition with the mission of commemorating those who have lost their lives in service. The BBMF will bring a new line-up of aircraft this year, with the Douglas C47 Dakota displaying for the first time at our airshow following a major restoration alongside two iconic Spitfires.
The Falcons’ display has been immensely popular in previous years, so we’re delighted to welcome them back once again to wow the crowds with their thrilling freefall routine which concludes in the landing zone on the Low Green.
The Grob 115E, known as the Tutor T Mark 1 – a versatile training aircraft used for Elementary Flying Training, pilot grading, and flying instruction.
The Strikemaster Pair’s display uses a sequence of manoeuvres to show-off the jet’s capabilities. The pair start with close-formation aerobatics at speeds of over 300 knots – that’s over 345 miles per hour – before they split to perform opposition manoeuvres.
The team will showcase the power and agility of this small jet, and throughout the sequence, the display will be enhanced using a purpose-built smoke system.
Wee DRAM is set to appear at The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight!
The Reims-Cessna FR172F Amphibian G-DRAM, affectionately known as “Wee DRAM”, will return to the skies – and the water – at Ayr on Saturday 6 September.
Pilot Hamish Mitchell flies this iconic aircraft from Prestwick Airport, providing adventure flying and training across Scotland.
At our airshow, Hamish will deliver an exciting and surprisingly agile display in Wee DRAM and, weather and tide permitting, perform a “Splash and Go”, landing briefly on the water before taking off again.
We’re excited to welcome the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) to our airshow line-up!
We’re delighted to confirm another addition to this year’s airshow lineup – crowd favourite display team Airborne Pyrotechnics!
The father and son display team join the line-up for The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight on both Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September!
You can look forward to a thrilling display with LED lights and pyrotechnics on the Friday evening as the sun goes down, followed by a graceful display on the Saturday with these two aircraft painting shapes in smoke across the skies.

Following his popular display at our 2023 festival, Peter Davies will return to the skies over Ayr shorefront on Saturday 6 September in the Calidus Autogyro for another thrilling performance.
Part aeroplane and part helicopter, this aircraft is truly unique in that its rotor blades have no engine. The blades are instead spun only by the passing wind as the autogyro moves through the air, powered by a propeller at the back.
The autogyro promises a truly fascinating display for airshow spectators, where Peter will show off his advanced piloting skills, pitching and yawing this small aircraft. He will even be able to take his hands safely off the controls and wave to the crowd through the glass canopy!
The USAF C130J Super Hercules from the Kentucky Air National Guard’s 123rd Airlift wing will take to the skies above Ayr shorefront on Saturday 6 September as part of our thrilling lineup of aerial displays.
The iconic transport plane joined us at our 2024 airshow, wowing the crowds with its sheer size, grace, and presence. Last year, it was specifically tasked by the USAF to perform a series of special flypasts. We’re excited to announce that at our 2025 airshow, the C130J will perform a full display to demonstrate the wonderful versatility of this phenomenal aircraft!

The Black Cats will take to the skies over Ayr shorefront on Saturday 6 September to thrill the audience with their dynamic display routine.
The duo are known for performing hair-raising manoeuvres in their Wildcat helicopters.
Starting out in 2001 as the ‘Lynx Pair’, the Black Cats are the first official Royal Navy flying display team since the ‘Sharks’ disbanded in the mid-1990s.

The Royal Navy Merlin from 814 Naval Air Squadron will take to the skies above Ayr shorefront on Saturday 6 September for a thrilling aerial display that is not to be missed.
814 Squadron are based at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose and are nicknamed the “Flying Tigers” due to a fierce tiger motif that they have on the nose of their aircraft.

We’re excited to announce that the French Air and Space Force and Belgian Air Force will appear at the airshow this September!
The French aerobatic team known as Équipe de Voltige de l’Armée de l’Air (EVAA) will perform complex manoeuvres in their Extra EA-330SC high performance aircraft in the skies above Ayr shorefront.

South Ayrshire Council is thrilled to announce that three aircraft from The Navy Wings Collection have joined the line-up for next month’s International Airshow – Festival of Flight.
First, is the Stinson Reliant, a high winged monoplane “gull wing”, with seating for up to four passengers.
Next is the Westland Wasp XT435, which entered service with the Royal Navy in 1965, and operated with 829 Naval Air Squadron, with part of her RN service being on the frigate HMS Achilles.
Last, but by no means least, is the Harvard G-NWHF, the latest aircraft to join the Navy Wings team. This aircraft was primarily used to train pilots during the Second World War.
Jet Pitts confirmed as STEM display for 2024 airshow!
Richard Goodwin and his Jet Pitts aerobatic display aircraft will appear at the International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September.
Watch out for when Richard pulls the propeller powered biplane up into a vertical hold and the two jet engines keep the aircraft from falling to the ground! When this happens, the whole aircraft will keep spinning in the air due to the still rotating propeller.
